Breast Cancer Awareness Month
For this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Exela teamed up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NCBF), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to:
- Educating about breast cancer and the importance of early detection
- Providing free mammograms as well as other health services to those who can't afford them
- Helping those with breast cancer and their loved ones navigate the challenges
For the month of October, following a dollar-for-dollar match from Exela, our employees were able to raise over $5,500 for the organization!
5K & 10K Palisades Run to support pediatric hearing loss
On July 4, 2019, Exela’s #TeamSantaMonica came together for the Palisades Will Rogers™ 5K & 10K runs and ½-Mile Fun Run for Kids, an annual set of road races held in California’s Pacific Palisades. Besides having healthy fun, we raised funds and awareness for Children’s House, a non-profit organization located in Serbia that supports children with hearing loss. On August 28, we were then able to donate much needed medical equipment valued at $27,000 thanks to Exela matching employee donations dollar for dollar.

Every single one of Exela’s 639 full-time employees located in our Mount Vernon and London, Kentucky workplaces contributed to the effort, whether by directly soliciting donations, selling raffle tickets, walking the track, or simply cheering for those walking.

Blood Cancer Day 2019
This World Blood Cancer Day (28th May), Exela Technologies in partnership with Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA) aims at increasing awareness about Leukaemia and providing aid to the underprivileged children currently fighting blood cancer under CPAA’s care.
In honor of Earth Day 2019, Exela partnered with Bare Hands Agriculture, a not-for-profit that teaches underserved communities how to cultivate food by planting trees and building gardens. On May 19, 2019, after several weeks of fundraising, a team of Exela employees and affiliates came together with Barehands in Atlanta to create edible gardens in and for the Chosewood neighborhood. By the end of the day, the community had a new green space and a new understanding of sustainable eating, and Exela had raised nearly $4,000.
